I’m Lindsay McVay, a communications strategist, graphic designer, and storyteller based in New York City. Most recently I served as Visual Communications and Content Strategist for Planned Parenthood Global, the former international arm of Planned Parenthood Federation of America.

I see writing and design as inseparable tools that together tell richer, more compelling stories. I work at the intersection of both, using them to create layered content that builds visibility, brand trust, and impact across platforms.

I designed digital assets for Planned Parenthood Global’s social media platforms to highlight major global observances, provide rapid-response information on breaking policy news, and celebrate country “wins” for sexual and reproductive health care and rights.

Impact Brief 2024

I led global communications efforts to strengthen messaging alignment across digital platforms and brand visibility, including co-writing and assisting in the creative direction of Planned Parenthood Global’s 2024 Impact Brief, as well as the global team’s feature in Planned Parenthood Federation of America’s 2024 Annual Report.

I oversaw the development of editorial products to elevate Planned Parenthood Global’s organizational milestones and history, including serving as point of contact for copyediting and translation during the creation of the nonprofit’s 50th anniversary timeline.

Newsletters

I managed end-to-end production of internal newsletters and external event invitations, ensuring timely, engaging, and brand-aligned communications across Planned Parenthood Global. This included content planning, copywriting, layout coordination, and working closely with translators and designers to reach multilingual audiences. These newsletters played a key role in strengthening internal visibility and cross-regional collaboration.
